ever since luke was born his parents called him their little monkey, so naturally he had the most adorable monkey themed first birthday celebration!  luke was not too sure what he thought about the cupcakes, but the chocolate covered bananas were definitely a hit in his book!  it was the perfect day of family, fun and cute kiddos.

i just love connecting with kids and making their experience fun during our photo sessions.  it made my week to get this text from addy’s mom after our shoot. “we loved meeting you.  thank you for the shoot with addison.  she said you are her favorite photographer!”

this girl is such a little charmer. at the beginning of the shoot she slipped her hand into mine, looked up at me and giggled and that was the start of our fun photo shoot! love this kid!

sweet baby carson has the cutest little baby smiles in her newborn photos. : )

i am so in LOVE with these photos of ivy and her beautiful horses!  this girl is such an animal lover so it was perfect that we were able to incorporate her horses and her puppy into her senior portrait session.

this kid is the epitome of cool!  he is sweet, funny, has dance moves and skateboarding skills.  with his shaggy blond hair, adorable freckles and piercing baby blues i foresee a lot of broken hearted girls in his future!

brooke and hap had one of the most beautiful weddings ever on bald head island a few years back.  it was so much fun to see them and their darling little boy on the island again for family photos.  they were there with some long time friends and their kids.  i love the “extended family” shots of all of them that we took.  20 years from now it is going to be so cool for their kids to look back and see these images.
