i always love photographing weddings at the farm at old edwards inn in highlands, nc. it was the perfect spot for kate and david’s wedding! here are some of my faves from their big day.
what a beautiful day for tess + david! i loved the very natural, whimsical setting they chose… Congratulations tess + david and thanks to all of the wonderful vendors for making it a special day for them… merrymaking events, lake toxaway country club, greystone inn, iron kite films, hey hey cupcake, two buds and a blossom, and shutterbooth!!!
there was so much love and laughter at sarah and nate’s pinehurst wedding. there are lots of kissing pictures with this group….not just the bride and groom, but everyone! i photographed sarah’s brothers wedding a few years ago, so it was like getting to work with family when i began working with sarah and nate last year at their loveshoot. one of the best parts of my job is getting to know so many great people and building relationships that span the width of their family. there were so many great moments with this crew that it was hard to narrow the photos down. enjoy! thanks to all of the wonderful vendors, k2 productions, the village chapel, pinehurst resort, and aldena frye floral design!
blue skies and the cool sea breeze made bald head island the most perfect setting for taylor and jon to say i do. it was preppy perfection!
it is flashback friday today… going back to that rainy day in november in the highlands of emily + jon’s beautiful wedding!
my last wedding of the year was a sweet little celebration with the bride and groom and their immediate families at the grand bohemian hotel in asheville, nc. we started off the day with a walk around downtown asheville for some fun loveshoot shots of erin and adam. then we joined their families at the hotel for an intimate and elegant gathering to say their “i dos”.
i loved this wedding and these two people! maggie + mackey are just plain old fun to be around. their love for each other and their love for making everyday “the best day ever” is contagious! plus, who does not love a groom with a handle bar mustache? the carolina yatch club is one of my new favorite venues. it has it all….charm, a gorgeous view and lots of one of my favorite places in the world…a great covered porch with a view of the ocean.

i do believe that there is one perfect person made for everyone. mindy went all the way to costa rica to find her perfect! fernando and mindy said i do in an amazing location, the king fisher society in laurinburg, nc. mindy and fernando were wedding photographers in costa rica and now have a business here in nc. i love working with other photographers! check out their work here.
did i mention how much i love photographing indian weddings? the colors, the festivities, the energy , the food! all of it makes for a grand weekend.
clai + jimmy had a beautiful wedding at a historic church in the lovely downtown wilmington, nc area followed by a fun filled reception at the surf club in wrightsville beach. clai looked gorgeous and i loved the guy’s turquoise striped bowties. it was a wedding of southern charm meets nc nautical.
