as soon as i walked into anne’s room at the proximity and saw herita jones (an amazing make-up artist) putting a lovely ruby red lipstick on anne i knew it was going to be a great wedding. then when i saw her dress i got even more excited! anne’s sister in law made her a-mazing dress. anne’s birdcage veil was the perfect finishing touch her look.
the revolution mill was decorated with whimsical paper air planes and pinwheels and other fun vintage touches like old post cards for guests to leave “mail” mail for the couple.
prepare for a long blog post! there were so many photos that i loved from anne and mike’s wedding.

i met the wood family at a lovely horse farm in pinehurst. the girls were so excited about feeding the horses and playing with the dogs. the pecan tree grove, the stunning horses and country roads made me feel like i was shooting an ad campaign for ralph lauren. plus, the wood girls are so cute they could be in a magazine!
love this girl! she is the real deal. mary is super sweet, confident and has a vibrant personality. i can tell she is headed for big things. she has an amazing energy that totally shines through in her photos.
katie and alston are sisters. the sisters and their families meet up at the farm for a festive fall photo session. their mom and dad even stopped by for a quick visit to see the grand-kids in action. there are some pretty funny expressions going on between the cousins. i love it!

i loved this couple and this wedding! it was a perfect day for a fall wedding. mary and paul had their first look by the lake at the angus barn pavillion (have i mentioned how much i love it when couples do a first look?!). the light was gorgeous. mary looked amazing and paul and his guys in their great suits looked pretty swell too. : )

i can’t even begin to describe how happy i am to have this re-branding project up and running! for years whitebox has had 3 websites and 1 blog to keep updated. guess what? the websites rarely got updated and all of the email addresses and different web addresses were a total headache. when i saw the design algow modern blogsite template for into the darkroom i felt like it was created just for whitebox! it had a clean, fresh, modern feeling and it was totally customizable. into the darkroom and design aglow make it so easy to update your site!
way back in march i began the process of streamlining all of our sites into one fabulous blogsite. with my very busy shooting schedule i decided it was best to call in some professional help. katie saunders, an amazing graphic designer with infinite patience, came to the rescue. katie helped me freshen up the whitebox look with a new logo (love it!) and new graphic design elements, while staying true to the original whitebox brand. now whitebox has 1 site that is our website + blog + shopping cart + all sorts of other cool stuff, like a tour of the whitebox farm, a map of my future travels (i am driving across the country next summer, so check out the map to see if i will be headed your way!), a great info section and a FAQ section. i also love that the new blog allows for slideshows or traditional blog posts. and, it is super easy for people to tweet about, facebook or pin my posts!
katie also helped me with new packaging and promotional products. we are switching from DVD’s to these oh so cute new custom hard drives. check out a sample of my new marketing set below.

we had to grab a couple of quick shots of shelton and her mom and her little brother to mark the last year that they will all be at home together. senior year….what a roller coaster ride of emotions….happy, sad, excited, anticipation.
i love to see a girl in love. this girl is totally in love with this guy named joey. he is big, brown and beautiful. he is a gorgeous horse and mary marshall is happiest when she is with him. it was a great morning to be on the farm with mary marshall to shoot her senior pics!
