nothing is more cozy than snuggling up with a newborn on a cold, snowy winter day! meet oliver. he has such soulful eyes for such a little guy.
i love this fun family! we started off our session with everyone in their jammies for storytime and then headed outside. it is hard to believe that harlem is already seven months old. i never thought i would say that a double chin is cute, but harlem has the cutest double chin. i love juicy babies! klei takes his job of big brothering serious. he is the best at getting smiles out of harlem.
bruce and i had a great shoot at the beautiful historic guilford mill. i even conquered one of my childhood fears at our shoot! there is a swinging bridge at the mill. the last time i was at the mill i was about 5 years old. my five year old mind saw the swinging bridge as a terrifying and incredibly high treacherous bridge. i laughed at myself when i saw the bridge at our shoot. it is only about 8 feet of the ground and not scary at all. i guess fear is all about perception. as bruce heads out into the great big world after graduation i wish him the best of luck tackling his “swinging bridges”.
i don’t know what i would do without maureen as my studio manager. she takes care of all of the things that i hate, like paperwork, accounting and countless other things that i put on my no fun list. this year her oldest daughter turned 15, seriously? 15? i remember when she was born and now she can get her learners permit?! the first time i took their family photos she was 7. this year we visited a deer and alpaca rescue farm and an apple orchard for our shoot. gotta love a shoot with a gorgeous family + a fun setting + maureen’s excellent styling skills!
i love this family. i love their energy. love their style. i love their creativeness. i love their love of fun and bright colors!
baby wesley finally decided to greet the world!
mommy, daddy, gramma and wesely’s four legged siblings were all very excited for his first photo shoot and had lots of great props from vintage quilts to hand knitted caps.
i LOVE the shot of wesely with his great dane, pacey. it does not get any sweeter than that.
both of these babes have the most beautiful big brown eyes framed with gorgeous long lashes. so adorable!
happy monday with the cox family. man, these kids have grown up since i photographed them last!
libby and i have been friends since i was 5 years old! i have been taking photos of her girls for years, but this year we did the whole isley crew. what a great present to give!
the “kids” bought a photo session for their parents, so the three isley boys and their families and their parents all got together on the family farm for our shoot.
i wish i had photos like this with my grandparents.
we briefly inturrupt this blog post for a small sales pitch…..there is still time to get a gift certificate for a family photo session for your parents for this christmas. ; ) and now back to our regularly scheduled post.
being with megan is like being in a constant ray of sunshine. joyous is the best word to describe her and her joy is contagious! you could actually FEEL the love in the air at megan and bryant’s wedding. everyone was so happy and supportive. megan and bryant are blessed with wonderful families and friends that were full of joy for the happy couple!
i am happy that i got this post up just in time for megan and bryant to share with their families over thanksgiving! this was my last wedding of the year and it was such a wonderful way to wrap up wedding season.
with the theme of this blog being JOY, i hope that you and your family have a lovely turkey day full of joy and thanks. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
