wherever emma winds up for college, nyc or nc, she will add a little sunshine to her new home. emma’s smile lights up the room! i love her ruby red lip color mixed with her purple dress and boots.
rachel has such a beautiful spirit and she has a great laugh that is quick to show up!
i love the contrast of the golden fall leaves and her turquoise sweater (my favorite color!).
chris is an amazingly talented classical guitarist. he is very excited about finding just the right school that will allow him to continue playing the classical guitar and study engineering next year. we wanted to do his senior portrait session on the beautiful campus of nc school of the arts to help him remember his time there when he moves on the next adventure of his life!
marie is as vibrant and creative as her artwork! her senior portrait photo session was part photo-shoot and part art appreciation tour of downtown greensboro. we talked a lot about art and it was fun to hear marie’s take on public art when we were stopped for an impromptu interview about the benefits of public art.
you can see hannah’s vibrant personality and sweetness shine through in her gorgeous smile! she looked amazing for her senior portrait session and i was especially in love with her turquoise cowboy boots!
carmen is one of the nicest people that i know. seriously, this girl is so thoughtful, sweet, intelligent and not to mention, absolutely gorgeous! i love carmen’s vintage style.
over the past few years we photographed one of amanda’s friend’s wedding and her sister’s wedding. i was so happy to get the call from amanda saying that it was now her turn! love like amanda and rasty’s is worth waiting for. : )
amanda + rasty tied the knot on a beautiful fall day. old salem was the perfect setting for their photos and reception with the golden fall leaves and the warm sunshine peaking through the foliage.
amanda + rasty spent a lot of time of the subway commuting back and forth to each other’s neighborhood while they were dating. i love this shoe shot with the subway maps in the shoes!
it was a windy day! this is right after amanda’s veil blew right off of her head!
amanda’s brother played the banjo for the ceremony music.
i love these sweet moments with her friend and sister and her dad right before she walked down the aisle.
gorgeous light!
ben is bibliophile. now this might sound like a bad word, but it is actually a person who loves books and loves to read. you are potentially looking at one of the next greatest authors! ben is smart, creative and funny. during our photo session i discovered that we have a lot in common. in addition to our shared love for books we also share some of the same phobias of dolls and clowns! i just knew we had to include some books in ben’s senior portrait photo session.
i loved this wedding and these two people! maggie + mackey are just plain old fun to be around. their love for each other and their love for making everyday “the best day ever” is contagious! plus, who does not love a groom with a handle bar mustache? the carolina yatch club is one of my new favorite venues. it has it all….charm, a gorgeous view and lots of one of my favorite places in the world…a great covered porch with a view of the ocean.
