it has been so much fun watching tommy grow so much over the past year! i love meeting people when i work with them on their engagement photos and their wedding photography and then reconnecting later when they have their sweet babies! tommy was born with carolina blue blood pumping through his veins. his mom and dad had their wedding on the unc campus, tommy sported a unc beanie for some of his newborn photos, and for his first year photo shoot we walked around the campus of unc. it was so special that we were able to do the photo shoot on campus, by the old well and on franklin street, where it all began because the week after the shoot the whole family was moving to boston to start a new chapter in their life. i am so excited for their new adventure and happy that i was able to help them remember their time at good ole unc. i look forward to catching up with them next time i am in the northeast and documenting their new life in massachusetts!
little ellie was so sweet for her newborn photo shoot. she gave me the whole range of her facial expressions….sweet little yawns, smiles, winking and even her cry face was cute! i loved photographing ellie’s newborn shoot in her modern and hip jungle nursery! welcome to the world little miss ellison.
i love shooting outside with natural light, but not so much when it is 28 degrees and windy! these are some of my favorites from a studio shoot i did for directions usa modeling agency. these kids are gorgeous!
kailey was so much fun to photograph. she is a spunky girl full of life and lots of smiles. : ) her personality is a vibrant as her gorgeous red hair!
i am back at the studio after a wonderful holiday followed by a not so wonderful week with the flu attacking my whole family, but anyways, it is good to be back! last year was my busiest year ever! i am taking the next month to catch up, organize and prep for the spring. first on my list is to catch up a bit on blogging. i had so many gorgeous sessions that i did not get to share yet. i love the colors in this loveshoot session with emily and loren at old salem.
jordan has the sweetest little giggle and some of the expressions he makes makes me think he can smile himself out of any sticky situation!
i had so much fun with sara and her horse sweet pea at graystone farm for her senior portrait session. sara is an accomplished equestrian and a teacher at graystone farm. she was also one of my whitebox senior models this year!
my last wedding of the year was a sweet little celebration with the bride and groom and their immediate families at the grand bohemian hotel in asheville, nc. we started off the day with a walk around downtown asheville for some fun loveshoot shots of erin and adam. then we joined their families at the hotel for an intimate and elegant gathering to say their “i dos”.
i feel so blessed to have worked with so many amazing couples this year like carrie and nick. there are so many photos in this blog post because there was just so much joy and happiness at this wedding that i had a hard time picking my favorites! carrie and nick are so in love with each other, but the wonderful thing about their relationship is how they brought two families together. carrie and nick’s families are friends….at times it was hard to tell who was related to who because everyone at the wedding acted as one big, happy family!
