this family is so sweet. we had such a great time hanging on the farm. the girls played with the chickens and had a great time on the big tree swing!
first year sessions are my favorite because i get to see how much my tiniest clients have grown since is photographed their newborn images. i have loved getting to know this awesome family over the past year.
spring is here and i have been shooting like a crazy lady! i am finally starting to make a dent in all of my post processing. this little girl brightened up my computer screen today with her sweet smile. : )
lauren and brad’s love story began years ago when they first met at cafe europa. luckily brad decided to stick with lauren even after she spilled wine all over him! brad and lauren are big mad men fans, so i love our first few mad men inspired shots. then we went by their house and picked up their adorable rescue pup and headed to the park for a picnic. i can’t wait for their fall wedding at adaumont farm.
i could not decide if i like the color or black and white best. lauren’s red hair is just so gorgeous! what do you think?
the word that comes to mind when i think of merlefest is “WOW”. merlefest is a weekend full of amazing music, crafts, and community. it is one of the most organized and family friendly festivals that i have ever been to. i was so happy to be an official merlefest photographer this year. this was my first time shooting a music festival and i have to say that now i am kind of ruined…..i want backstage passes and special access for all musical events now! last weekend was so wonderful because so many of my favorite things happened at once….great music, photography, camping and socializing!
there was no wifi at the campground so i posted a bunch of screen shots on facebook over the weekend, but here is the official blog post with all of the pretty pictures. i hope you can get a sense of what a fun weekend it was!
kendall and cam’s vintage inspired wedding was beautiful! i am love with kendall’s vintage dress and all of the sweet little details that they had on their big day.
bow ties and suspenders…my favorite combo!
personalized cufflinks for the boys.
one last final toast before kendall’s dad gives her away.
kendall was so excited to see cam that she could not help herself from giving him a big hug after she walked down the aisle.
one of the groomsmen flipped a coin to see who said their vows first.
the spring showers made for some dramatic skies over revolution mill.
my favorite shot of the day!
i am thrilled that one of my beautiful class of 2014 senior portrait photos won a national award! lizanne is simply stunning!

it all started with a beautiful wedding in wilminton, nc that we were lucky enough to photograph a few years back…….and now ruby and rob are expecting a beautiful little boy this spring! ruby has the most contagious laugh. we laughed our way all over downtown winston for their maternity photo session. : ) i can’t wait to meet manuel when he arrives for his newborn photo shoot!
