One month ago today I was headed to the hospital to have Mason… he didn’t come for another 36 hours but it was worth the wait! I can’t believe he will be one month old tomorrow. The saying “The days are long but the years are short” really is true. He has already changed so much- you can never take too many pictures!
I did a little impromptu shoot with him yesterday.. trying to get some sleepy pics. As soon as I took his jammies off he woke up..of course.

Thanks to all of our clients for being so patient while I’m on maternity leave! I’ll be back to doing some computer work as soon as I can figure out this new mom thing!
Challenge: Get those pictures off your hard drive and onto your wall! It is a daunting task…as I well know.. the wall over my couch has been bare for the last three years and I’m a photographer! It’s really hard to choose a huge piece of art because you’ll have to really LOVE it for years. So, I decided a wall gallery is probably the best way to go for me. Here are some options that I really like:
My fav: Perfect Picture Wall. They mail you the wall template AND the frames, all you have to do is add the pics… and it’s super affordable. They have modern frames and more traditional options.
If your house is a little more traditional, Michael’s has some great wall template galleries too.
I also really love the layout of this gallery that I borrowed from Tara Whitney‘s blog. It is a great example of how to use lifestyle portrait photography in a REAL home. Thanks Tara and Visty for the inspiration! I seriously LOVE those curtains too!

Got my new Epiphanie bag last week and it’s so cute- I’m lovin’ it- and it totally matches my house! I took it out on Friday night and it fit my 5d with battery grip, 16-35mm, and 50mm nicely. The outside pockets are nice and deep- great for my iPhone and Burts Bees lip balm. The quality is really nice- I’m very impressed!
