beautiful kids and gorgeous light makes for a great shoot! i always love catching up with these two cuties for their yearly whitebox photo session.

when i met Nicole Gannon our freshman year in college i knew, once i learned to interpret her strong boston accent, that we would be friends forever! watching her grow into an amazing mom to these two little sprites makes me so happy. these girls are beautiful, silly, caring and full of zest for life, just like their momma!

if there ever was a perfect time to use the word “darling” to describe something it is now….this little cutie is just absolutely darling in the petty family’s fall photo session on the whitebox farm. those braids kill me!

i always love photographing the super stylish snowden family! this year we met downtown winston for their family portrait session. can you say gorgeous?!

i remember a snow day a long time ago that i photographed this little girl’s newborn photos. she has grown up to be such a beautiful girl! i have loved getting to know this beautiful mother and daughter over the years. katherine is so lucky to have a mom that wants to create a legacy of photos for her. each year we do a shoot and create a beautiful keepsake album from our images, so when katherine turns 18 she will have an album from every year.

i always love seeing the dixon family for their annual fall photoshoot. this family has fun together! the kids always entertain us with silly faces, dance moves and creative posing. i love it!

i met this lovely family when eliza started pre-school. our families spent a lot of time together when the girls where younger. we would take the kids on long walks in the woods, they would have lots of play dates and we even created a mommy/kid gardening club. as the girls got older and busier and went to separate schools we were not able to see each other as much, but when we see each other now they pick up right where they left off and so do we. sarah and sangbo have taught their girls to be so thoughtful and gentle. this family is so full of kindness and love! it is always a pleasure to see them and i am loving the gorgeous golden hour light that we had for their family portrait session.

after photographing these kiddos for years i finally got momma moore and daddy moore to get in the photos! i know a lot of parents don’t like to be in photos, but trust me, your kids will treasure your family portraits when they grow up. yay, Tara Ferguson Moore and Travis Moore for getting in front of the camera this year! i loved shooting the while family this year, but i think little leo stole the show. he definitely has some moves and is not camera shy! what a cutie!

i had so much fun photographing little miss harper on her photo session.  this little ray of sunshine just makes me smile with her adorable expressions and her funny little personality! she is everything that a little kid should be….sweet, silly and so cute!

this great little family just moved to nc and the old well at UNC was the perfect spot to say NC HOME for their christmas card this year!
