i am finally catching up on some blogging, so be on the lookout for lots of new posts!

kristen and michael had a lovely wedding at the hotel dupont in wilmington, delaware.

kristen is an amazing documentary photographer.  she gave me a copy of her book covering the aids epidemic in africa and the effect it has on the children of africa.  it is heart-wrenching, but the photography is beautiful.  check out “i am because we are” here.

we survived the heat wave that was hitting the north east on their wedding day and managed to get some beautiful images without melting.  : )

  • Again, such lovely lovely work. You ladies are my icons! I know you’re all about natural light, but I’ve noticed on many weddings your light at indoor receptions is also flawless. Do you mind if I ask what light sources you use? One or more off camera remote flash? It looks so fabulous! Thanks so much for your continued inspiration! lisa 🙂

  • hi lisa!

thank you so much for your kind words. : )

i love natural light, but unfortunately shooting weddings you do have to break out the flash sometimes. we use canon 580s on camera with a cheapo sunpak on a stand for back light.

    happy shooting!
