i always love seeing the dixon family for their annual fall photoshoot. this family has fun together! the kids always entertain us with silly faces, dance moves and creative posing. i love it!
i met this lovely family when eliza started pre-school. our families spent a lot of time together when the girls where younger. we would take the kids on long walks in the woods, they would have lots of play dates and we even created a mommy/kid gardening club. as the girls got older and busier and went to separate schools we were not able to see each other as much, but when we see each other now they pick up right where they left off and so do we. sarah and sangbo have taught their girls to be so thoughtful and gentle. this family is so full of kindness and love! it is always a pleasure to see them and i am loving the gorgeous golden hour light that we had for their family portrait session.
after photographing these kiddos for years i finally got momma moore and daddy moore to get in the photos! i know a lot of parents don’t like to be in photos, but trust me, your kids will treasure your family portraits when they grow up. yay, Tara Ferguson Moore and Travis Moore for getting in front of the camera this year! i loved shooting the while family this year, but i think little leo stole the show. he definitely has some moves and is not camera shy! what a cutie!
even though it is inevitable that our babies grow up on us, it is so important to celebrate your kids at every stage of their lives. i love that Teresa Dalton Ford and Rick Ford set up this fall family photoshoot with their “big” kids, their grandson and their grand-dog. i am so happy that i was able to work with this great family to capture some sweet moments between them. years from now these photos will be priceless to this family!
i had so much fun photographing little miss harper on her photo session. this little ray of sunshine just makes me smile with her adorable expressions and her funny little personality! she is everything that a little kid should be….sweet, silly and so cute!
this great little family just moved to nc and the old well at UNC was the perfect spot to say NC HOME for their christmas card this year!
i honestly don’t remember when or where i met Carla Durbin but she is one of those people that you just want to spill your guts to because you know she will be thoughtful and true in her response to you. usually we are working behind the camera together because carla is an amazing hair and makeup stylist, but i always love it when i get her and her beautiful family in front of the camera! we have cheered each other on thru many ups and downs in our personal lives and our businesses and we have inspired each other to chase happiness, to dream big and to be strong women and mommas for our babies. i am very proud of my sweet carla and all of the positive changes that i have seen her make in the years since i have known her. check out her blog to see all of the stuff she has been up to! http://www.joyandcharley.com/
this family has carolina blue blood running thru their veins! UNC is a special place for them, so the old well was a perfect spot for our shoot. i have loved watching this little family grow over the years. this gallery has some of my favorites from our most recent session, but just for fun i added some pics from our previous sessions starting with kate’s newborn session. it is such a privilege that i get to document these moments in time for my families. it makes my heart happy!
