ever since luke was born his parents called him their little monkey, so naturally he had the most adorable monkey themed first birthday celebration! luke was not too sure what he thought about the cupcakes, but the chocolate covered bananas were definitely a hit in his book! it was the perfect day of family, fun and cute kiddos.
i just love connecting with kids and making their experience fun during our photo sessions. it made my week to get this text from addy’s mom after our shoot. “we loved meeting you. thank you for the shoot with addison. she said you are her favorite photographer!”

i always love my assignments for our state magazine because i meet the greatest people and get to discover so many new favorite spots in north carolina. i got to visit four saints brewery in asheboro to photograph elizabeth hudson, the editor, and her wonderful mom for the drink local insert in the april issue. i also had a super-fun shoot at joymongers brewing company in greensboro. it was especially fun because it combined two of my favorite things….dogs and delicious beer!

what better day than today to finally post photos from my 40th fiesta (two years ago!) than on cinco de mayo! it was so wonderful to be surrounded by so many friends and family on my 40th. special thanks to anna paschal for these amazing photos! thank you to leigh pearce for helping with the event and carla white for making me so glam!

what is a whitebox senior model? it is your chance to be part of an amazing, super fun and creative stylized shoot with professional hair and make-up artists. the theme is top secret, but i promise it will be awesome!
the shoot will be on june 13th. you must commit to being on set the entire day of the 13th. there will be a senior model meeting on may 3rd. you must bring a parent to the senior model meeting. the senior model program fee is $250. this includes your very own whitebox senior portrait session later in the year.

such a windy and gorgeous day with this cutie pie … this delightful spring weather+gracie’s awesome red hair+ her cool kid style makes the perfect combination!
it is so cool that i have been able to build a friendship with this awesome couple and go from photographing their wedding to their most recent precious gift, emerson. Tara is also a photographer and has a really sweet+fun business called inbetween the blinks in the raleigh, nc area that focuses on people+their fur babies!
