it was a bit windy in the outer banks and we did not get to take our sunset loveshoot cruise on the water as planned, but it was still a great afternoon hanging out with sydney and lee and their pups on the beach!

this guy…sweet, sensitive and he has these big beautiful blue eyes.  george is a talented musician and has this great little smirk that makes you think he always has something up his sleeve!

did i mention how much i love photographing indian weddings?  the colors, the festivities, the energy , the food!  all of it makes for a grand weekend. 

i had so much fun working with dianne + mike and their families at their montana wedding a few years back.  i was excited to see them and to meet their gorgeous little girl for a photoshoot when we were on our RV trip this summer.  it was great to see the whole family!

and lastly…a family that cheers together, stays together!  go grizz!

i tell you what, this girl is full of energy and inspiration!  i got a workout keeping up with shelby and her fast pace during our senior portrait session.  shelby is a photographer and editor of the new garden friends school yearbook, so we added a few fun photos with a vintage camera to her session.

it is always so fun to see how much my clients change over the years.  at the bottom of this post i included a shot of cameron from 2010 when he was just a little guy!   i love getting to watch my clients grow up. : )

can you believe this kid is in 7th grade?  she is soft spoken, shy and has such an ethereal beauty.  i can see this girl on the runways of paris in a few more years!

i love this family!  over the past 6 years of photographing their family they have become great friends.  these two boys are so lucky to have such nurturing and fun parents.  i can’t believe harlem is one already!

somehow we survived the insane humidity, the drizzling rain, the heat and the relentless mosquitoes and still somehow managed to get some pretty darn cute family photos!  thanks for toughing it out with me guys!  this adorable family belongs to rhiannon giddens of the carolina chocolate drops.  she is so talented!  my crew and i really had a great time dancing it up to the chocolate drops at delfest this year.
