what a beautiful family and such a special lil’ girl! talk about A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!  not to mention such a cool name… it was great being able to make memories for this sweet family at their amazing home and in downtown raleigh!

i always love my assignments for our state magazine because i meet the greatest people and get to discover so many new favorite spots in north carolina.  i got to visit four saints brewery in asheboro to photograph elizabeth hudson, the editor, and her wonderful mom for the drink local insert in the april issue. i also had a super-fun shoot at joymongers brewing company in greensboro.  it was especially fun because it combined two of my favorite things….dogs and delicious beer!

what better day than today to finally post photos from my 40th fiesta (two years ago!) than on cinco de mayo!  it was so wonderful to be surrounded by so many friends and family on my 40th.  special thanks to anna paschal for these amazing photos!  thank you to leigh pearce for helping with the event and carla white for making me so glam!

class of 2018……it is your turn to be a whitebox senior model!

what is a whitebox senior model?  it is your chance to be part of an amazing, super fun and creative stylized shoot with professional hair and make-up artists.  the theme is top secret, but i promise it will be awesome!

the shoot will be on june 13th.  you must commit to being on set the entire day of the 13th.  there will be a senior model meeting on may 3rd.  you must bring a parent to the senior model meeting.  the senior model program fee is $250.  this includes your very own whitebox senior portrait session later in the year.

i love making memories with this family… i photographed his sister’s senior photos a few years back and it was so great to have the family altogether for a few pics this time around! congrats to bennett!

i enjoyed this urban style session with marie for her senior photos!  there was plenty of smiling, a hint of autumn on the trees, and of course lots of stylin’ … congrats to marie!

kathleen + reed’s ceremony was stunning at the duke chapel. they live in charleston, sc and they came back to kathleen’s alma mater, duke, to tie the knot! everybody had so much fun dancing to the awesome music of horizon of sam hill entertainment at the washington duke inn!  thank you to all the awesome vendors, events by la fete, tre bella, ashley cakes, carlisle video, lula, and monuts donuts.
